Abigail Spencer

Abigail Leigh Spencer - born August 4th 1981 - is an American actress. She is best known for her performances in the films The Haunting of Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia Oz the Great and Powerful and This Is Where I Leave You and for roles in television show Angela's Eyes Mad Men Hawthorne and Suits. Her current role is Amantha Holden in The Sundance Channel show, a drama called Rectify. Abigail Leigh Spencer works as an actor in film and television. She became famous for her performances in Rectify (a drama) as well as Timeless (a sci-fi). Her first appearance on stage was All My Children, a soap opera that was filmed in Gulf Breeze Florida. For her work, she won the Soap Opera Digest Award as the most outstanding female newcomer. The majority of her roles were guest characters in TV series throughout the next few years. Her role as Dr. Erin Jameson on the TV series Hawthorne received her praise. Her stunning looks coupled with her uncanny acting talent contributed to the gradual development of a fanbase. Her film debut came when she was around 20 and was performing in the film Campfire Stones. Other films she has appeared in include Jekyll This Means War and Chasing Mavericks. For her role in Beautiful Now she received a Madrid International Film Festival Award nomination. In the TV program Timeless, she played the character of Lucy Preston, a history professor. Spencer has received positive reviews from critics about her performance in the sci-fi program Timeless. The actress was also nominated for a Teen Choice Award.
