Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was aware that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made the sport, she finished second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school in 2003, and was signed by Adidas a contract as an athlete in professional competition. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set a new junior world record. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the distance of 200 meters. In 2007, she was able to defend the title against her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
