Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent to play sports while studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the moment. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. She was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, beating her former Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third in each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
